[ap.to]

verb (Latin): To make fit, to adapt, to prepare

Apto Physical Therapy was founded with one mission: to address pain and dysfunction through a truly integrative, whole-person approach, helping people return to the activities they love. Symptoms such as persistent pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, and urinary or bowel incontinence can significantly limit daily function and quality of life. Over time, this often leads people to withdraw from exercise, work, and social activities—further impacting mental health and perpetuating symptoms.

At Apto Physical Therapy in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, we provide personalized, one-on-one physical therapy care that treats you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. Our clinicians take the time to understand your physical concerns alongside lifestyle, stress, movement habits, and health history that may be contributing to your symptoms. Care at Apto is rooted in an integrative and trauma-informed approach, meaning we prioritize safety, consent, clear communication, and patient autonomy throughout the rehabilitation process.

Our multidisciplinary model may include pelvic physical therapy, orthopedic physical therapy, behavior change coaching, mindfulness-based strategies, and functional nutrition support to promote long-term healing. This comprehensive approach often allows patients to achieve meaningful results with fewer visits than traditional physical therapy, while building sustainable tools for ongoing health and resilience.

We understand that navigating the healthcare system—especially for chronic pain, pelvic health concerns, or symptoms that feel personal or sensitive—can be overwhelming. At Apto Physical Therapy, you will receive compassionate, skilled, and respectful care from providers experienced in working with complex and persistent conditions. Together, we collaborate to create a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle, honors your lived experience, and supports lasting recovery.

Apto Physical Therapy proudly serves Wheat Ridge, West Denver, Lakewood, and Arvada, and is conveniently located inside Gold’s Marketplace at 26th Avenue and Kipling Street in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

About Dr. Deena Lipson:

Deena Lipson is originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020 where she majored in Kinesiology and minored in Psychology. She then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.

Deena has known she wanted to become a physical therapist since 7 th  grade after rehabilitating from her own dance-related injury. She believes pain is inevitable/part of life and that our relationship with pain can greatly impact our experience with it. She discovered the pelvic floor specialty early in PT school and fell in love with the way it can drastically change a patient’s quality of life. This allowed her to pursue additional learning opportunities such as taking a pelvic floor elective class at Midwestern, completing the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Level Course, and participating in a 10-week pelvic floor PT rotation. She now has over 2 years of experience working as a pelvic PT in Denver.

Deena is passionate about spreading awareness and education regarding pelvic health. She especially enjoys working with people during pregnancy and postpartum. She believe rehabilitating the body after pregnancy is just as important as doing PT after an ACL surgery! Deena believes in treating each patient with a holistic approach. She enjoys treating the whole body and considering how low back, hip, SI joint, or tailbone pain can be contributing to pelvic floor dysfunction. She hopes to foster an environment where patients feel welcome, safe, and heard.

In her free time, Deena enjoys live music, going to the gym, hanging with friends, and spending time in nature.
