about Blood flow restriction training

Improve strength and increase cross-sectional area

Blood flow restriction training (BFR) utilizes medical grade tourniquets during low-intensity exercise (or at rest) to briefly occlude arterial and venous blood supply, which stimulates metabolic changes in the muscle that result in increased strength and hypertrophy (muscle growth). This allows for improved strength and increased cross-sectional area of the muscle without having to lift or move heavy weight(s). For this reason, BFR facilitates rehabilitation without potential for re-injury.

Literature has demonstrated that BFR is far more effective at improving strength and functional capacity than traditional low-intensity exercise.
